Sedation for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Athens, Greece - 18-19 September 2009

The World Organization of Digestive Endoscopy (OMED), The European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE), and The Hellenic Society of Gastroenterology (HSG) organized a workshop on Sedation for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in Athens, Greece, 18-19 of September 2009.

The aim of this symposium was to review current practice on the use of sedation for gastrointestinal endoscopy around the world and elaborate guidelines on this topic, based on current published evidence, for the safety of the patients.
